Libby was born and raised in Lompoc, California. She has been working in the dental field for over eight years. She started her dental journey by becoming a Registered Dental Assistant at Allan Hancock College and then obtaining her Registered Dental Hygiene license from Taft College in 2019. Studying to become a dental hygienist is where Libby’s passion for dentistry and patient education came into focus.
Libby earned the California Dental Hygiene Association’s Student Leadership Award as well as having the highest GPA in her graduating class. She first became aware of Myofunctional Therapy while working as a Dental Hygienist for her airway focused employer, Dr. William Heath.
Together, Dr. Heath and Libby obtained their Myofunctional therapy training through MyoMentor and are actively building upon their skills and participating in continuing education to become the best therapy team possible for patients. Myofunctional Therapy is complex, and every patient and case is different, with a multidisciplinary approach that utilizes the knowledge of myofunctional therapists, dentists, orthodontists, ENT’s, speech pathologists, and even physical therapists, your life can be improved through better sleep and breathing.
She believes that the Myofunctional therapy field is underserved in her community and hopes to bring to light all of the positive impacts that therapy can have on children and adults alike. Through a personalized treatment plan, let’s improve your quality of life, by breathing better, sleeping better, and living better.
